I have no idea what to suggest - perhaps you can adjust your Explorer image settings? I really don't know... it's a wonderful comic, too. Maybe try another computer? The problem is that Internet Explorer doesn't consistently display images saved in the LJ Scrapbook, which is where this comic is currently hosted. It's possible that once the Exchange is over, the artist may elect to host the art somewhere else where folks with IE can see it.
In the mean time (not to sound like a commercial) consider getting Firefox or Safari - they are so much better (and faster!) than IE.
