It's quite funny, I think Good Omens kind of demands taking a look at other settings that would technically be depressing but making it entertaining in a slightly irreverent and silly way - and after reading up recently on Sodom and Gomorrah and how it was actually meant to be about inhospitality and xenophobia more than anything else, I couldn't resist playing with it. Thank you very much for the comment - and hee, that was one of my favourite little exchanges too, especially because I imagine Crowley deadpanning the line despite meaning it ^^.
