Sappy as "It's a Wonderful Life" is, I can't in good concience recommend viewing it (unless you take insulin first).
You should, however, definitely watch Supernatural and I mean that. Though it'll be impossible to understand without starting any later than season 4 (and I'd still watch from the 1st episode, personally).
