I'm also amused looking at everything together... it seems we've had a decided downturn in the amount of mature rated work this year. Not saying it's bad, just kind of surprised me.

And am I seeing this correctly, or did we really have no dropouts or pinch-hits this year?

[identity profile] quantum-witch.livejournal.com 2011-01-05 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
Fandoms ebb and flow, I suppose. I also don't recall quite as many crossover prompts before. I think we're being assimilated into more well-known fandoms (which may or may not be good).

That's awesome though, for things to go so smoothly this year, esp. with last year being such a trial.

I didn't even comment most of the time this year, being so ill and in pain for two months. Now I just feel guilty.

And speaking of crossovers...

I just wanted to thank you again, [livejournal.com profile] quantum_witch, for a really fantastic gift. You struck just the right [funny] tone with all four fandoms.

You are so very welcome! I had an absolute blast with it :D

Well, Good Omens IS such an incredibly crossover-able fandom!

I can see how new shiny fandoms are very appealing and one can only do soo many holiday exchanges at a time... :O This exchange has become somewhat of a tradition for [livejournal.com profile] pseudo_geek and I tho... It is always my first priority <3

[identity profile] pseudo-geek.livejournal.com 2011-01-06 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Despite this being a tradition for us, I've only officially participated twice: once in 2007 and once this year :| I might need an alarm clock for this.

Speaking of alarm clock, can invitations be sent to past participants every year so people will remember that there is such an exchange? Maybe the number will climb up again this way.

Well, I know of one person who wanted to participate, but couldn't because of lack of time - and one person mentioned she didn't like the change.

I had several friends tell me that they'd wanted to take part in the exchange but didn't like the new prompt type as it was too detailed and didn't offer enough flexibility.

I'm not a writer myself, so I wouldn't know, and I really enjoyed the stories posted but as you mentioned the decline in numbers I thought I'd pass it on.

Again, thanks to everyone who contributed.
