I too thank aviss for such a prompt because as with you both I LOVE to read them, whether couple or very old friends, from outside, somehow "innocent" observers.

I've liked the ones that are varied, but there's something satisfying about these interrelated ones that tell you--artfully--a bit about the people doing the observing and their connections to each other and how those effect their perceptions, not least the seeming "generation" differences...oh little do they know HOW great the span!

Tender and festive and so very seasonally apt.
