What an amazing story this is. Poetic, evocative, and extra special love for your characterization of Death: I can't imagine him any more perfect! He's such a fascinating character here - as is everyone. I love the Horsepersons also being susceptible to attacks of empathy for humanity, as a gradual creeping realization. Everyone wants more time, even the immortals.
