Sorry for the late reply; I was so utterly touched by this comment I wanted to wait for the reveal before saying anything. A couple of months back I'd read an interesting (to me, anyway) article about how the Sodom and Gomorrah story was twisted from its original meaning about xenophobia and inhospitality to the one most people refer to today about homosexuality, and after the prompts for the exchange included Job (who I confused with Lot) I couldn't resist playing with that idea.

I think half my fascination with Crowley and Aziraphale stems from the fact that they do go through these insane and potentially overemotional situations with the attitude of two people working a sometimes rubbish job for bosses they don't really like, and it's so surreal and funny that I couldn't help falling in love with them in the books; and I think I'd wanted to pull in a little of that attitude here, albeit with a little more tension because I think where I've set the story here is not long after they've started their arrangement - before anything is official (or worthy of capitalisation).

Thank you so much for this comment, hon :). It made me really happy to read it!
