The emotional whiplash between laughing (the ducks) and crying (Lucifer) has kind of left me without words.

I'd quote my favorite parts, but comments have a character limit. So I'll say: the rainbow appearing at Lucifer's words. Death's respect for life. And of course, "All things strive"--that line has followed me, too; it's my favorite part of that book.

Now, in response to the humor:

"Now there's just.. anti-climax. Lots and lots of anti-climax."

I'll blame you for the fact that I now think of the Post-Apocalypse-That-Wasn't universe as having the worst case of blue balls, ever. A quantum case.

IN CONCLUSION I love this story and I think that it reads like Pratchett himself wrote it.
