Oh my lord! I cracking up laughing now, seeing that it was Jen who wrote my story! You guys did that to screw with my head, didn't you, since I would never expect it to come from someone whose work I know intimately. XD Meanies!

Jen, you did a fabulous job and gave me a completely awesome gift, I love it to bits! My love for you just grew to astronomical proportions. <3 <3 <3

[identity profile] quantum-witch.livejournal.com 2011-01-05 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'm teasing ;) I think it was an awesome idea for us to choose. Made it so much easier for me, I know that. :D

My prompts were that popular? I'm a better muse than an actual creator lately. XD

[identity profile] quantum-witch.livejournal.com 2011-01-05 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hah,I would have probably, if I'd been at all thinking like myself for the last couple months. :p

Those prompts just jumped into my head from somewhere, in like five seconds. I'd love to see anyone tackle the Newt/Anathema one someday.

[identity profile] quantum-witch.livejournal.com 2011-01-05 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
I'm also amused looking at everything together... it seems we've had a decided downturn in the amount of mature rated work this year. Not saying it's bad, just kind of surprised me.

And am I seeing this correctly, or did we really have no dropouts or pinch-hits this year?

[identity profile] quantum-witch.livejournal.com 2011-01-05 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
Fandoms ebb and flow, I suppose. I also don't recall quite as many crossover prompts before. I think we're being assimilated into more well-known fandoms (which may or may not be good).

That's awesome though, for things to go so smoothly this year, esp. with last year being such a trial.

[identity profile] quantum-witch.livejournal.com 2011-01-05 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't even comment most of the time this year, being so ill and in pain for two months. Now I just feel guilty.

[identity profile] bethbethbeth.livejournal.com 2011-01-05 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
And speaking of crossovers...

I just wanted to thank you again, [livejournal.com profile] quantum_witch, for a really fantastic gift. You struck just the right [funny] tone with all four fandoms.

[identity profile] quantum-witch.livejournal.com 2011-01-05 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
You are so very welcome! I had an absolute blast with it :D

[identity profile] littlewolfstar.livejournal.com 2011-01-06 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
I think we're being assimilated into more well-known fandoms
Well, Good Omens IS such an incredibly crossover-able fandom!

I can see how new shiny fandoms are very appealing and one can only do soo many holiday exchanges at a time... :O This exchange has become somewhat of a tradition for [livejournal.com profile] pseudo_geek and I tho... It is always my first priority <3

[identity profile] pseudo-geek.livejournal.com 2011-01-06 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Despite this being a tradition for us, I've only officially participated twice: once in 2007 and once this year :| I might need an alarm clock for this.

Speaking of alarm clock, can invitations be sent to past participants every year so people will remember that there is such an exchange? Maybe the number will climb up again this way.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_silverfox/ 2011-01-05 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I know of one person who wanted to participate, but couldn't because of lack of time - and one person mentioned she didn't like the change.

(Anonymous) 2011-01-05 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)

I had several friends tell me that they'd wanted to take part in the exchange but didn't like the new prompt type as it was too detailed and didn't offer enough flexibility.

I'm not a writer myself, so I wouldn't know, and I really enjoyed the stories posted but as you mentioned the decline in numbers I thought I'd pass it on.

Again, thanks to everyone who contributed.

V, you are BEYOND welcome. I love co-moding with you. And I RELISH working with you on fic.

Furthermore, a huge thanks to you for beta'ng for me!

AHAhahahahaha, did we really get assigned to each other, [livejournal.com profile] waxbean?? That's never happened to me before! :DDD Oh my god, I couldn't possibly be MORE delighted with my story, you just don't know. It really hit so many of my buttons - it was atmospheric, had strong characterizations and amazing imagery. I was blown away by what you did with my prompt; you so ENTIRELY exceeded any expectations I could have fathomed. Thank you so, so much!! *HUG!*

To the mods, once again, your job is a selfless, thankless one, and you do it flawlessly every year. Thank you thank you THANK YOU for all your hard work. Already looking forward to next year's!

You are soooooo very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I LOVE and ADORE the portrait of Anathema and Lafayette! It's fabulous. What a great choice for a crossover character, too. He's my favorite, as well.

Thank you ever so much paddyabroad for the lovely story.

Personally speaking this is a very busy time of year but as soon as I have finished up my work (end of January) I will be going back over everyone's hard work and commenting on it.

[identity profile] meredydd.livejournal.com 2011-01-05 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
hee! Thanks for posting this! Now, I need to go back and read all the fics I missed!

[livejournal.com profile] malicehaughton, thank you again for your amazing fic! I really enjoyed it. It was truly a treat!

And thanks also to [livejournal.com profile] ormery for the amazing prompt! It was soo fun to draw (although a bit intimidating seeing as you are such an incredible artist and I admire your work immensely m._.m)

Thank you [livejournal.com profile] unravels for the lovely fic you wrote. I loved it. Especially the way you ended it (and what the secret was to begin with.)
