This is kind of, er, what I do - at least in the stories I work hardest on - play with all of Aziraphale and Crowley's 6,000 years on Earth. Some time periods are more fraught than others. (When one gets haunted for weeks by a mental image of Aziraphale in, of all things, a Nazi uniform, one has to do a lot of research and writing to figure out how the hell that happened!)
The fact that you claim not to like this pairing in public only heightens the power of the compliment. But please give some love to the artist, too - if you look at her notes at the link, you'll see that her research was just as deep and just as scary as mine. :D
