I have always, er, kind of physically understood the appeal of a Nazi scene. But I can't really allow myself to indulge unless it's rendered kind of surreal and ridiculous and played for laughs to some degree. So...OMG...Aziraphale in full SS regalia? I mean, honestly. That has to be funny, doesn't it?
The mental image made me laugh for years before I wrote out a full story. And it wouldn't have been nearly as good without QW's work - she really went to the wall for the research. :)
