Holy cow. Not only was this gorgeous and fluid and miles deep, it was sexy as he--Someplace, and absolutely dead-on with characterization. Just absolutely brilliantly written. Lemme see if I can even pick out some favorite bits (besides just saying "The whole blessed thing") :)
Well, Adam's whole "remembering" episode. And,
Pepper felt unaccountably cold.
Wensleydale’s hands began to shake.
Brian lost his appetite.
Newt sneezed so hard he almost ran off the road.
Shadwell cut his lip on a milk tin.
Madame Tracy spilled her perfume.
Crowley tripped over his glass coffee table.
Aziraphale dropped a teacup.
Just. Too. Cool.
The way Anathema just understood. And even when she didn't perfectly understand, she still knew, somehow. So very Anathema. Perfect.
The concept of the Antichrist being a different entity from Adam? Ngk. Blew my mind; loved every second of it.
And the sex. OHthesex. *spontaneously self-combusts* But there is so freaking much going ON there, metaphysically, emotionally, spiritually (grammatically...whoops, wrong fandom). The sex is unbelievably hot, but the background and Aziraphale's orchestration and Crowley's compliance with still the desperate streak of Tempter, tempting himself, Adam, Aziraphale all at once--and Aziraphale still the enforcer, still thwarting--makes it so much warmer. And I swear I felt every second of pain and desperation and, especially, Adam's internal struggle with Himself.
100%, Grade-A awesome. Loved it. Thanks for letting us enjoy it.
