Oh WOWOWOWOW Secret Author! I absolutely adore this! Thank you so, so much! It's everything I hoped for - it's clever and twisty and plotty and sexy, and....just a brilliant AU imagining.

I was already in delight over the dancing, the music, the burgeoning romance...and then the King in Yellow (brilliant), the flaming Bentley (brilliant again), Hastur wreathed in flame.

I actually gasped out loud when Crowley found the skin and I realized what it was. I LOVE selkies!

And this: “So, you’re a selkie.” Crowley said as he stood in the doorway of Aziraphale’s quarters. When Aziraphale had first come aboard, offering his skills as a cartographer and cook in exchange for safe passage to the St Gabriel, he’d requested his own cabin. They’d converted one of the smaller cargo rooms into a bedroom for him, picking up a bed the next time they’d been in port. Aziraphale had filled the tiny room with sentimental items, covering every inch of flat surface in the room with books about land. At the time, Crowley had found it peculiar that Aziraphale seemed to be so fascinated with something so mundane, but now it made a little more sense.

Now it all becomes clear, indeed! And the re-imagining of the flaming-sword gift, offering his seal-skin to keep the baby warm....and then being (understandably) peeved when they made off with it...absolutely perfect. I'm glad he gets to go home and bring Crowley with him.

This is a wonderful story, masterful use of the prompt and weaving in little things from the books repurposed to suit the fairy-tale atmosphere. Thank you so much!! I will cherish this.
