Yeah, I've basically received a crash-course in Christmas carols since last year, and it turns out I've been missing out on so much :D But also, just try going with the alto lines - there's much less moving around so even 'in thy dark streets' won't feel noticeably sinister XD
well, yes, the fandom has collectively adopted him as someone pompous and annoying, i guess XD but some depictions are more sinister than others, is all i'm saying... *evilly rubbing hands together* (also, i love your depiction. and how he gets to go through the 'inverse' situation and visit the Antichrist at Christmas :D )
oh, yesss! The Hogfather is one of my favourites - although it's surprisingly difficult to recommend to people who don't know that universe... it sounds very weird if i try to give a teaser XD (i imagine the situation must be similar with some sinister santa stories you like :D )
