Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you liked the story. :)
I laughed so much at this line in the beginning: "Crowley half-expected him to produce a monogrammed silk handkerchief." :D But then I almost cried when he defied the Nazies when they wanted to open the tomb, but gave in because he needed to save Crowley...
^^That's the duality of man and, more specifically, the duality of Aziraphale. 😂 Soft and frivolous but also totally capable of kicking some Nazi butt!
The one about his flight to Mexico to avoid the war. Because it's basically the story of him sauntering-vaguely-downwards, isn't it?
You know, I didn't even think about this? I just thought "would Crowley fight in the war?" and said "nah, he's a coward who'd run away at the first opportunity." XD But it totally works in that context too!
I did plan his going after Aziraphale to mirror the climax in the book, though. Specifically, him joining Aziraphale with only a crowbar, which is arguably the archaeological equivalent of a tyre iron. XD
I'm glad you liked Crowley's first name reveal! I laughed so hard when I realized that I could use his initials like that. It just worked so well! XD
“You two…are very annoying.” - said by the Nazi. I read it in Mark Gatiss's voice because his character says almost the exact same line in the show. XD Please, tell me that this reference was intentional?
Sadly, this too is complete coincidence. 😂 I must confess I totally forgot about the Nazis in the tv show when I was writing this—shame on me!
