(I noticed! But Aziraphale really did emotionally distance himself a lot from Crowley after the incident, which you made obvious by him reverting back to titles, all the time, not names. I chose to interpret the demon--fiend--, all the name-calling through the beating-up scene as Aziraphale practically repeating the same things he heard while he was attacked. And the helpless part where he stops being the angry one doing the beating and just blindly hitting Crowley as if trying to defend himself, like he's finally able to... That broke my heart. I must say, it was very, very brave of Crowley to do this for him.)
