While the temptation to take up temporal power can be a pretty scary thing really in an Antichrist, Adam's essential decency makes it charming instead. Although I think the sinister possibilities are still there, especially if his drinking gets out of hand. XD But he's an adorable drunk.

And this: “But,” he said hastily, “He’s not here right now. He’s at his flat, I imagine. Or maybe he’s delaying trains on the Underground. In any case, he certainly isn’t here. I haven’t seen him. Perhaps he’s gone to Venice.” As he spoke, he backed through the doorframe with an air as if he was hoping they wouldn’t notice that he was moving.
Oh, Aziraphale. XD Sometimes so bad at being devious, and sometimes--as when he's got a tied-up and blindfolded demon to be attending to--so deliciously good at it. GOD, that's hot.
