Title: The Pros and Cons of Being an Apocalyptic Horseperson
Giftee: [livejournal.com profile] artemismuse
Giver: [livejournal.com profile] kalamburd
Characters: DEATH, War, Pollution, Aziraphale, Crowley (A/C if you squint)
Rating: PG

A/N: To my chosen one: I tried to include as many of your wishes as possible and I really, really hope you think my stuff is okay.

When War decided on her place of vacation she picked something cold and
vacant, just so she could escape those petty humans for a little while. What
she didn't take into consideration when she went on dog sledging over
Greenland was that her animal companions might be affected by her like
humans are. Now, half of 'em dead, the other half wounded, she's left
debating on which way to go. The GPS turned, surprisingly enough, out
to be useless in the middle of nowhere, when you actually need it.
Horseperson or not, you're not always that good when it comes to orientating
without the aid of modern technology. Someone, somewhere, is going to suffer
greatly for this.

Title: C-c-ch-hold!

Summers in Scotland can be quite warm and delightful, as we all know. The
country is especially nice I you're looking for rivers full of oil, toxins
and dead fish. However, nice weather is not a guarantee for the water to
have the right temperature. It's okay once you manage to wet your whole
body, but the stomach is always the hardest part. Always

Title: Wish You were Here

Famine, being the workaholic he is, never takes a break from his purpose.
DEATH, being nicer than his name suggests, sent a post-card to the missing
Horseperson. Brownie points to whoever can figure out witch country he
visited at the time he sent this

Hint, although the winters there are freezing He-Manchester, the summers can
get pretty nice. Nice enough to wear Bermuda shorts!

Title: Happy New Year, Angel

What's a better way of spending the beginning of the New Year than on a
rooftop with booze, a wonderful view of the city and a friend of six
millennia?

Aww! That's so sweet! (Well, except for the dead dogs of course, though I'm evil and they amuse me in this context. *g* And grumpy War really is pretty.) The last one is pure sugar! With ducks!
But DEATH's postcard is the best of all! (From Norway, isn't it? Do I get the bonus points? *g*) The huge skull grin! The mint green bermudas!
And Pollution's rainbow-coloured water really shouldn't be so pretty... ":-D

I love the light and the colours in Pollution's piece. I thought the cat sitting beside Crowley on the rooftop was very nicely done, too, and DEATH's grin is so contagious.

Gross as it was, with bloody wolves and all, I swear I see little X'd out eyes!

Capturing the elements, esp. water, is one of the hardest tasks for me. And there you've done it, gorgeously. I have to concur that the oil slick shouldn't be so pretty ^^ (And secretly, I believe Famine did NOT take a break from work, and that's him with the poodle. Omg, a poodle.)

Death is ADORABLE. I love that the doesn't address the card, just puts a name on and assumes it will make it to the right place. Which of course it will, because it hasn't any choice XD

Schmoop! And I bloody love the multi-coloured stars. Is it London smog coming up? And are those duck feathers, or flames from below?

Gorgeous stuff. And fun :D Double points.

These are exquisite! (I can't help but squee about Death's postcard -- it's nice to know that finding ways to make the ink scratchy is in fact a universal constant.)

Hee they're all so, so lovely! I love the snow and stormy sky in War's, and that you've gotten the rainbow shine of oil sicks in Pollution's. And DEATH is so sweet. :D I really, really love the last one, how completely and happily smashed they look, the way Crowley's eyes glow, and the ducks, you got ducks. And the grumpy little kitty!

Each one is the most beautiful, the first one for style and subject, the third one for the colouring and the ducks, the second one is exceptional, period.

Oh, my *apologies* for not getting to this sooner- I was traveling and had no internet access. WOW, Secret Author/Artist, you floor me! I was deep down in my soul hoping for art, just one piece, and instead I get four beautiful renditions in color! With my prompts! And more! Thank you! I must have been REALLY good for Christmas. War's disgruntled face is perfect, and the dogs are a morbid touch of humor that made me grin. Pollution, you just nailed. Period. The so-true bit about the stomach being the worst, the guy walking the poodle in the background, and his pained biting-lip expression... love. And thank you for the Bermuda shorts, and the happily sozzled duo at the end. I am gleeful beyond measure, and I can only hope to thank you even more when I know who you are!

Anyway, these are *gorgeous*, Death is SO CUTE.

Okay, this is awesome! The situations are amusing enough, but damn, your art is gorgeous. You have a great sense of composition, and your coloring is to die for. Also particularly love Pollution and DEATH's expression s and posing. (I didn't really know that DEATH could have expressions.)

Without question some of the best pieces of art I've seen produced in this fandom, and definitely some of my new favorites. Your use of color is exquisite (War's hair! Pollution's oilslick! The magnificent shooting stars!), and your facial expressions are AMAZING. Amazing.

There's too much about these that I love for me to go through listing them ALL, but the compositions for all of them are brilliantly conceived and may I just say that the very CONCEPT of DEATH in a photo booth is the most hysterical and inspired thing I've ever encountered.

Wonderful, wonderful work.
