I just got to a computer now for the first time in a week, and this couldn't be a better "welcome home." i... am at a loss for words. secret author, i think i'm a little bit in love with you now. thank you, thank you, thank you a hundred times over; i don't know what i was imagining, but this surpassed it and more.
first of all, the humor. i chuckled-- out loud! i never laugh, let alone at something i read. but "In fucking Hawaii, if you can imagine." for some reason made me laugh so hard i couldn't stop.
and Crowley's anger is perfect. precisely the way he'd react and sound. i could hear and see him in my head, as well as Adam's hilarious reactions. and the Adam and Crowley tension, oh my goodness. He'd never told Crowley over the years what the demon's casual use of power did to him: what shadows he heard whispering in his ears. sent shivers up my spine. really. all that unspoken... something. i wanted Adam to be in there because he's always such a wildcard, and you handled it perfectly.
the ending, of course, made me wistful and happy and want to hug you.
