Aaaah, this was awesome. I’ve been saving this fic for a time when I had time to read it in one sitting, and I finally got the time to sit down and thoroughly enjoy it with some tea and a grilled cheese sandwich. Perfect. Sunday.
Your writing is great; I really like your style. It’s easy to read and you capture the characters and feel of the book itself. Loved the new characters too, well, liked anyway. I’m not sure if anyone could love Shae, but I liked her punky self anyway. Anael too (hoe do you pronounce that name? I kept hearing Anael but with the ‘e’ missing in my head whenever I red its name, er.), I especially like how you wrote him getting used to being human.
Was life ever easy for the beings on this plane of existence?
He didn’t think so.
If Anael ever learned to use the Internet he should so visit http://www.fmylife.com/, I can only imagine his reaction. Haha.
And I loved how someone finally paid a bit of attention to Newt!
Newt let his expression fall into the closest thing he could make to a kicked puppy. He didn’t feel right? “Oh, well, I’m sure I could do better.”
Adorable! Gah!
Shae and Anael both turned to look at him, the angel blinked once in confusion, but it was the other demon that spoke. “What does Manchester have to do with anything?”
I cracked up a lot during this fic. But this actually made me laugh out loud. And one last quote before I’m done gushing.
He grabbed Aziraphale and hugged him.
I caught myself making faces at the screen because I’m a huge sap and I love this kind of stuff. What a wonderful ending. Thank you, thank you so much for this awesome fic. I loved it.
