Artist's Note: If not for [livejournal.com profile] vulgarweed, my muses would still be asleep as well.
Summary: The nineteenth century brought many great changes while Crowley hibernated. Aziraphale finds that one thing never changes: the demon's manners. (Or: "Let sleeping snakes lie, for their own safety.")

*laughs a lot* Crowley's bedhead is terrific.

Some artists will never be anonymous, but we love you anyway!

Additionally -- 80 years worth of bedhead really ought to be worse than it is here... but I suspect Crowley's innate vanity somehow made it more kempt.

So very pleased to have made your week brighter! :)

They wore their trousers very tight in the those days, yes indeed. Or maybe it's colorful snakeskin, and not just the boots...

Aziraphale, never the fashionista, and we love him for it.

Crowley's face when he just woke up is a thing of beauty, and I love how he was bored the moment his eyes were fully opened and decided to pester Aziraphale. The entire comic is fantastic, but I can't tear my eyes from Crowley's boots on the last panel... I love his outfit

He can't go five minutes without something entertaining when he's awake. I'm surprised he stayed asleep that long. Probably had to have exciting dreams to manage it.

Haha, those boots are delicious, I agree.

I hoped you'd do a gift! I eagerly anticipate any of these cartoons you do, they are so slyly hilarious but so utterly in character for any of the characters. I save them all.

Ah, thank you so much :) Nothing makes me happier than hearing "in character" when I do fandom stuff.

So much fun! I love how very sharp Crowley looks even though he has been out of the loop for most of the century, and how truly appalling Aziraphale's trousers are!

Some fashions never look bad ;) That era seemed to have the best styles, well suited to Crowley.

I tend to think Aziraphale's trousers are only appalling in combination with that waistcoat. Which is also pretty atrocious. Otherwise, he looks... fine?

*lol* That was one of my fave spots too. Pretty much the first image that popped into my head when I started the comic, in fact. :)

I do, indeed, think Crowley's bed-head wins the day!

Holy crap this is hilarious. Crowley's bedhead, Aziraphale's book ranting. I am still laughing over the fact that he smells like “dust mites and sanctimony.” I particularly love that you showed Aziraphale's awful fashion sense without using tartan.

Hehe, glad you like it. But sadly, that is tartan. It's a muted grey/green but tartan nonetheless. I suppose the glaring waistcoat made it harder to tell XD

I'm endlessly amused by everything here; all the little details, and the dialogue, and your drawing style~ :D "Trespassers will be made into haggis" made me crack up right off the bat, and it got even funnier from there on. XD Rip Van Crowley-- I really needed this today. *wheeze* Nice work.
