Yup! According to Viking tradition, the earth goddess Frigga heard of a plot to kill her son, so she asked all the plants and animals under her dominion not to kill him (I think his name is Baldur). The trickster god Loki subverted her, going to the one plant Frigga had no power over--mistletoe, because its roots are not in the earth, and so not in Frigga's domain. I can't remember exactly how, but using poison mistletoe, Baldur was killed, and Frigga searched and searched for a way to undo it, but could find none. Finally she stopped and wept, and her tears changed the mistletoe berries from red to white, which reversed the poison and brought Baldur back to life. (Interestingly, there are both red- and white-berried varieties of m-toe.) In her joy, Frigga declared mistletoe to be an emblem of peace and love, which is why people kiss under it. Also, any enemies that met under mistletoe had to lay down arms and observe a truce for one day.

I have no idea who you are, but this comic was just fabulous! Shirtless Crowley! *drools* Snow! *loves* and mistletoe without overly much romance! *is nicely surprised by ending* I just love their hairstyles (though Crowley's hair length varies a bit, but who cares?), Aziraphale looks so extremely angelic! And of course their clothes! *lives out history kink*
Such good fun! Shivering Crowley and mistletoe-waving Azi, most of all!
I'm only not so sure whether the "young ladies" will thank the angel so much for his intervention... *g*
I doubt my day will get any better.

EEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! *madhuggle* Thank you, thank you!! I'm SO glad you like their designs, especially Azi's, cause I never could quite pin down a good look for him, and, to my eyes, anyway, he went back and forth between looking like a very poor-quality Roman statue and like Rocky Balboa's much less successful wrestler cousin, Pocky. O_o His hair, though, is one thing that makes me happy, and I'm glad you liked it too!

Crowley's hair length varies a bit

I KNOW, and I truly apologize...I'm not sure why it kept fluctuating like that. I mean for his VikingMullet to be just past shoulder-length, but it kept getting shorter and shorter. >_< He just looks like he has bad eighties hair (John Stamos on Full House!! AUGHH!!)

And, I'll tell you what, if I was one of those young ladies, Az would have had to fight ME for him! ^_^

Oh my god! You have no idea how much I LOVED this! So funny and cheerful! I loved how Aziraphale's all excited about the mistletoe and Crowley's adorably confused, and the angel so easily assumes that of course they can't continue fighting-- there was mistletoe!

I think that for all that they've been counterparts--and associates--for several thousand years, Crowley and Aziraphale really don't communicate all that well. You know, I get the perverse idea that Crowley said that just to see what Az would do. And..he does. And of course Aziraphale has no idea the smartass demon's just baiting him, poor clueless angel.
