Date: 2017-12-23 10:45 pm (UTC)They really look like old murals, with the style and the textures and the decorative ornament-frames.
And the colours are so beautifully vibrant!
I especially love Hastur's design.
And Gods, did I laugh at the "Wrong Snake" XD
Though the "Who are you again?" is also hilarious :D
The authentic style of the drawings add up to the jokes, too.
A really awesome and well-done present, I bet your recipient will love it! <3
(sorry, I have no Dreamwidth account. this was Staubengel talking :) )

Date: 2017-12-24 12:38 am (UTC)I absolutely adore the character design and color schemes so much - it's perfectly in keeping with medieval demonological iconography but it also has a sort of very modern appeal (just like my favorite Lurkers themselves, not quite getting the hang of modernity). The borders and backgrounds just bring out the colors of the characters in such a striking way...and they are SO CUTE how did you manage that? Is that a shy sidewise glance that Hastur is giving Ligur in the "poisoning the well" one - look at his little hoofsies! Look at little pink chub Ligur.
"Wrong Snake" is hilarious - did they go through every single snake they found, I wonder? maybe that's what really got rid of the snakes in Ireland....
and I love the unimpressed clergyman in "Follow the Women" - who are you again? I can just imagine Hastur about to go full-on bellow DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM????? The women are very pretty, I love their scarves and hairstyles. Again, they look very early-medieval and also contemporary at the same, I don't know how you do that witchcraft but I'm very, very impressed and delighted.
Thank you SO MUCH, Secret Artist! This is everything I hoped for and so, SO much more! <3

Date: 2017-12-24 09:10 am (UTC)Hehe re: that last picture, it just seems to me that Hastur & Ligur, unlike Crowley, genuinely enjoy their jobs and going home to Hell.
I had a blast creating this art, and I'mm super glad that you enjoyed the subject matter and the execution! <3 Happy holidays!!
