Age 12. Dearest Diarye: Thou-Shalt-Not-Commit-Adultery Pulsifer pulled myne pyggetail yet again. Now I call him only by the first three Wordes of his Name. He is so stupid he thinketh that Not Committing Adultery means he must never grow up. If only I could see that he need not worry about that.

Date: 2018-01-07 02:24 am (UTC)Every entry is fantastic! You did such a great job of writing in a style that sounds old, AND of using this to do a lot of word-play! I loved figuring out each reference to present-day things XD I especially liked the two angels and "he Voyces saye in the Last Dayf many wyll hearken to ye Rollyng Stonef, yet wyll get no Satisfactionne."
I think her entries for ages 19 and 22 are my favorites ^_^
This is such a unique fic and fanart, and you've made me really glad I asked for this prompt :D Your Agnes feels familiar AND made me feel like I know her much better after reading this, which is exactly what I was hoping for! Thank you both so much!!!
Oh my goodness, I almost forgot to comment about the Doctor because the rest of this was so great, too. But I LOVE the Doctor's cameo :D I bet he and Agnes would have had SO much fun together. Two headstrong trouble-makers--oh boy, lol
I can already tell I'm going to reread this many times :D

Date: 2018-01-07 05:59 pm (UTC)Omg, I adore anachronistic cultural references! And I see you noticed Carrie/Leia. Honestly, how could I NOT include her? Agnes and she would've loved each other! :D

Date: 2018-01-07 07:55 pm (UTC)You're so right about Agnes and Leia. Hopefully Agnes got to see all of Star Wars in a premonition or dream sometime XD

Date: 2018-01-09 02:19 am (UTC)I envisioned her as the village smartass who wrote it all down, kind of like a 17th-century Harriet the Spy with psychic visions. And I headcanoned that she and Adultery Pulsifer sort of grew up together and had something of a love-hate relationship. She's starting to know how it's all going to end, and she doesn't even hold much of a grudge. The Device family - well, I'm sure Neil and Terry were paying homage to the real story of the Pendle witches (and Robert Neill's great novel Mist Over Pendle) so they had to be in it - Agnes does end up with a son with that name, after all. So they were fun.
QW's illustration brought it to life spectacularly and took it in whole new directions (the three ladies Chastity, Temperance and Obedience - the Carrie Fisher homage was all her idea and it was PERFECT).
I am so SO glad you liked it so much!! <3 Thank you!
