Prompt: Aziraphale/Crowley. Moulin Rouge! AU but make it lesbians. Crowley as Satine/Courtesan and Aziraphale as Christian/Writer. Could be a scene from the movie/musical or a loose interpretation of the movie/musical theme. Preferably have butch Aziraphale.
Dear srslyarts, when I saw your prompt, sparks literally lit up in my eyes, it was too gorgeous, I had to do it!
So I hope that the result will entertain you, because I had a really awesome time fulfilling it!
The premise is up to you, but I guess the ineffable-occult team might have tried to live a bit as human beings just for an experiment - and that's what came out of it!
There was a (boy) girl
A very strange enchanted girl
They say she came from far away
Passed my way

The greatest thing

It all began like this...

We need a writer.
Above all things I believe in love!
Only I'd never been in love myself...
But they said they had a perfect plan.
And we were off to
The Moulin Rouge!

The Sparkling Diamond!

I've arranged a special meeting for you.
Clean yourself up, you bourgeois pig!
They said we might be able to do a private poetry reading!
Oh! I love a little "poetry" after supper.
How wonderful of you to take an interest in our little show!

She reminds me of Esmeralda, and that brings another dimension to the whole story - the beauty, the tragedy and the romance are sort of eternal. And I'm happy that you made Aziraphale immortal and gave them a happy ending with your last panel! :)

Date: 2021-12-26 01:34 pm (UTC)So, first of all I wasn't even expecting this out of the three prompts would be picked but I'm so so so happy that it did! It's an AU dear to my heart and I'm so pleasantly surprised. You got many characters in a role that I imagined them in in my ver of the AU too!!
Secondly, you did the whole movie!!!! It's so lovely to see A/C in all those moments and I love how you drew Crowley in all the different Satine's outfits. AND THE WINGS IN THE SHADOW AS AZIRAPHALE WAS HOLDING CROWLEY'S BODY IS JUST *CHEF'S KISS*.
And of course, I can't left out the ending that you made!! It's such a nice twist that despite the tragedy, they still made their way back to each other. (I LOVE the little snake tattoo/earring you gave Crowley in the last panel! Such a nice touch.)
So, THANK YOU so much Secret Santa! Thank you for bringing 2 of my favourite things together into this wonderful set of arts. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
