let me posit my theory:

Aziraphale has clearly just allowed Crowley to come up for air here... sure it's hurt/comfort... but only because Aziraphale just had him tied up for some rough kinky sex!

Oh you know how much I love this, you have to know. And the rope is merely trapping to the gorgeous glory that is Aziraphale and Crowley. The fact that everything fades away beyond the center of the image just makes it all the more sublime. When you see those hands together, the expressions that could mean anything you like, nothing else matters.

Oh my! This is beautiful. You got everything I love in this: bondage, wings, collarbones (are you a mind reader?). The expressions on both their faces are wonderful, their hair and wings are so pretty, and their hands...guh!

Honestly, I was too busy staring at Crowley's expression to realize the rope doesn't wrap logically, as you put it. I didn't notice it until you pointed it out, but seeing as how they are of supernatural origins, I bet Azi has a few tricks up his sleeves for rope tying that may not make sense to us humans ;)

YAAAAAAAY, I'm so glad you like it!! It was just rather convenient that a few of our kinks happened to line up - I'm a sucker for wings, and bondage sure doesn't hurt. And no, no mind reading - I just love collarbones too. ^^

I'm quite happy to take that as an explanation for the rope - sounds pretty logical to me. :D Heavenly rope-tying classes FTW. Or maybe Aziraphale got a little engrossed one day in a very detailed rope technique manual...?

I was really happy when I saw that you were my giftee - it's fun to make something for someone you've never met, and hope to make them happy, but it's MORE fun to do it for a friend. ♥ ♥ ♥ And I'm sure I said it before, but I'm so happy you like it! Wow, THIS one really implies a narrative! But most of all I like the study in textures. Although the tones are built up from hatched line, there's a variety here that's very pleasing: the flesh, with its dips and hollows of anatomy very smooth, even slick with sweat, the hair of each drips, Crowley's straight hair in a lank cap, Aziraphale's in a tangle of limp curls; the wings look fluffy, the rope not only shows a "hairy" coarseness of fibers but convincingly has weight and hangs on and follows the round forms of the Demon's body. Nicely done!
