Oh, this is so very lovely. It makes me wonder what's wrong, and why Crowley seems to be trying to comfort Aziraphale, but looks as though he's actually the one who's more unhappy (and what happened to his sunglasses!). And also who the mysterious figure in the background might be. I like how they stand out so sharply against the blurry rainy background, and the way the water's drizzling from the edges of the umbrella.

Thank you, Secret Artist! <3

Aw, thank you! I removed his sunglasses because they kind of ruined the mood, so to speak. Plus, I really wanted to draw his eyes

The guy in the background is just there to balance the composition, but you can pretend he's... whoever you want, really x)

You're very welcome, dear

I love the hug, and the hand holding. Crowley looks like he is begging forgiveness for something (the expression on his face! poor Crowley). The colours and the background are gorgeous!

:O just want to jump in and hug them both. at first i thought "too much green" but really it adds to the sadness that at least crowley must be feeling.

Might just be my monitor that's too desaturated or just the fact that I love green. I know I use it way too much, but I can't stop!

Glad you still like

Aw, that's lovely! It looks as if there's a whole story behind it. :-)

This is beautifully done! I wonder what's got them so mournful, though?

This is such an evocative piece. I love the blurred background, the rain, and your choice of colours.

Oh oh Crowley! This is such a lovely picture! I'd love to know what the story is behind this, because I'm a bit of an emotional masochist- I love me some angst, especially vulnerable!Crowley. :) And the way they're holding hands- ohh!

And the colors! I love the gold in the background- like the sun's starting to show through a little and all the muted colors and the rain... I could go on for ages about this piece, only I've been reduced to embarrassing fangirl spew, and it's not even my gift! This is gorgeous, secret artist!

I originally had something written up, but English isn't my native tongue and it would've been a bit awkward, so I skipped it and decided to let people make up their own story to go with it

I'm very pleased you like it (even if you're not the one I originally drew for, it still makes me happy that other people like it as well), thought. Thank you for all the compliments!

this is really wonderful -- I like the hurt/comfort aspect, here -- I really want to know what is making Crowley so vulnerable -- good thing he's got Aziraphale.

I am in love with this, the feeling of expression and posture, the deep colours, Aziraphale's lovely hair!

I want to eat your picture with my cup of tea. I'm going to eat it, you can't stop me.

Really like the buttery look of the brushwork (whether digital or analogue), gives a real weight and solidity to the figures in contrast to the sky. The light is amazing with it's heavy yellow green look just exactly like the quality of light in late afternoon of an overcast, rainy day with the distant figure almost obscured by the haze into a blob of silhouette.

Not least, there is a whole story implied here and a strong emotional core not only in Crowley's sorrowful--almost grieving--expression and body language as he all but melts into the angel from behind. aziraphale's face with it's sad eyebrows but slight smile looks wistful, tender almost protective though he's not initiating any touch.

Very nice indeed.

May be just my smutty mind, but it actually kinda looks like Crowley is just really concentrating on trying to get his hand down Aziraphale's Argyle and Aziraphale can only stop him with one hand cos the other one is holding the umbrella. Just a thought. I'll go and wash my mind out with soap and water now.
