Summary: Pollution loves his work!

There was a certain light heartedness to be found in Pollution that generally wasn’t found in the other three Horsemen. His eyes shown with a certain delight when they stumbled upon a rainbow painted in oil, or a particularly beautiful forest fire. His eyes reflected the flames, glistened in a way that had little to do with his namesake and more to do with the love he had for his work.

Because he did. He loved his work as much as any of the other horsemen, more even.

He created forest fires in the blink of an eye, made nuclear power plants combust for seemingly no reason at all, he made oil tankers spill thousands of gallons of oil into the sea, murdering thousands of the sea’s inhabitants. And he loved it. It was beautiful. It was Pollution, and everything he was made up of.

He loved it and it loved him, every slimy atomic particle of the universe loved him intensely. He was a part of everything; he was in the trees, the air, the water, the sand. He was one of the few universal agents that binds all things together. The city skies became gray with smog at his permission, cars left smears of rainbow wherever they went at his command. The skies cried acid for his pain, the sun smiled away the ozone for his happiness. And it was good, because he was Pollution.

What a beautiful (and ever so slightly creepy) ficlet. The imagery is wonderful. I really love his expression in the picture, he seems to have a mixture of wonderment, rapture and vulnerability.

Thank you so much for a lovely New Year's gift Secret Author & Artist.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was running late with it, so it wasn't what I wanted it to be, especially when it came to the fanart. I liked his expression, but I needed to fix a couple things still. T_T Aaah, I'm glad you liked it anyways though.

(And sorry for the late response. I was out of town for awhile)
