The fifth annual Good Omens Holiday Gift Exchange is open for unwrapping!

Title Each Other Now Embrace
Gift for: [livejournal.com profile] snakelady88
Artist: A Secret!
Rating: G
Pairing/Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley, the Horsepersons (as you may have never seen them before!
Artist's Notes: I jumped at the chance to do Aziraphale/Crowley femslash. And then the rest of the page was looking empty, so I threw in genderswapped versions of the Horsepersons as well. (Yes, DEATH is flipped too. Can't you tell?)

Happy Holidays, [livejournal.com profile] snakelady88, from your Secret Artist!

And welcome, everyone, to the 2009 Exchange!

what an auspicious start!

I just love this -- it's clever and lovely and hilarious. Crowley is sleek and Aziraphale is frumpy (love the sweater!). Pollution is just fantastic. And I love how Famine looks a bit like a drag queen.

I LOVE the DEATH mistletoe. (Seriously, I want to make one to hang in my living room this year.) And the fem!Pollution is just so messily adorable! And of course, even as a woman, Aziraphale has little fashion sense.

Lovely opening to the Exchange, Secret Artist!

That's really wonderful, I love your interpretations - and like the commenter above, I'm craving some Death mistletoe for the living room. :D

Aziraphale's hair is just right. I am very, very impressed. (I like the rest of it, but that's the thing that has me giggling gleefully in a library.)

This is fantastic, so clever and adorable! I love all the little details and the creative interpretations of the horsepersons. I can't decide what makes me grin more: Lumberjack!War and his axe, or pretty little dirty Pollution, spilling things all over her party dress. She's as cute as she is disturbing, which is as it should be.

Actually, I know what my favorite bit is, and it's how spot-on Crowley and Aziraphale are, with one all sleek and stylish and gorgeous (LOVE the snake cuff) and the other one all lovable and frumpy, with that floofy hair and sweater. Perfect!

I have the strangest urge to go and sing the Lumberjack song now.

I think this just about made my morning.

Oh my... Aziraphale just reminds me of Aunt Mildred... but I think my favorite is War, that beard! Lovely, very original concept!

Hee! Love it! I especially like how War turned into a man and went all lumberjack, and Crowley's eyes. I love her eyes in this :P

War reminds me a bit of Destruction in this, which adds to that love.

Also, Aziraphale's choice of clothing is so right. Love it.

Oh this is WONDERFUL!

I'm just all smiles right now! =D What a marvelous pick me up in the eye of the storm between turning in my last paper and finals week! =D And what an honor to receive the first gift, and such an excellent one at that.

I was going to pick a favorite part, but I can't. I'm really really pleased with details like Crowley's hairline, jewelry, and fingernails, the fact that Pollution's cup matches Aziraphale's shirt, War's Santa/Lumberjack combination, Famine's facial expression, and DEATH! <3 Just like everyone who got to this before me, I want one too!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

(sorry to comment late; have been insanely busy the past few weeks)

Wow. They're all gorgeous and exactly as they would look. Aziraphale and Crowley are adorable, and bearded lumberjack War is hilarious. I agree with [livejournal.com profile] vulgarweed about Famine's resemblance to Natasha, which is great, and Pollution is disturbingly cute, and awww, Death with mistletoe. Lovely work all around.

This is just plain fun! Gender swaps are so routine I'd think they'd have become a challenge to pull of with flare. This one succeeds with all the amusing detail packed in: Aziraphale's starry midnight dress that STILL manages to look somehow a bit frumpy and matronly, Crowley's seductively single-strap gown in pale green--to complement his yellow eyes and with the snake twist arm bracelet. Famine in a black sleeveless and appropriately skinny pendent necklace looks oddly a bit more rounded than I'd expect but attractive in a Gaiman's Desire kind of way. The Endless analogy continues in War, so surprisingly burly and hearty in her transformation she reminds me of Destruction, right to the red beard and lumberjack ax. Pollution looks so young, the spilling is almost natural and Death in bird for with his night wings, and both his scythe and a bundle of mistletoe in his teeth is just hilarious!
