Title: Another apple, to slice into pieces

By: Secret Author for Carime’s Treehouse

Rating: T for a little swearing.

You asked for an AU in which Aziraphale and Crowley did not meet in Eden and grew to be more angelic and demonic respectively. In this AU they do not meet in Eden and as a consequence are more in thrall to their respective ‘sides’, whilst being actively disinclined to have anything to do with each other for reasons that are explained early on. I have concentrated on how not getting to know each other from the start impoverishes both of their lives rather than making them overly ‘angelic’ or ‘demonic’ as such, although they do work harder for their ‘employers’ as a result. The fic weaves in and out of the events of canon, picking it up and leaving it as it suits the narrative. It’s rather longer than I first intended it to be - I got carried away!

Thank you for the prompt, I enjoyed writing this very much. I hope that you like it, and have a wonderful Holiday Season!

Summary

Aziraphale and Crowley do not meet on that wall in Eden. Convinced, for various reasons, that their adversary on Earth is to be avoided as much as possible, they both do their very best to stay out of each other’s way. After realising that they are still cancelling each other out, they do eventually talk, and an Arrangement of sorts is born. It is not long after this that they begin exchanging notes…

An alternative, mostly canon compliant AU in which there is what might be described as a ‘quick burn’ over the eleven years leading to the Apocalypse.

Another apple, to slice into pieces

Tell me how all this, and love too, will ruin us. These, our bodies, possessed by light. Tell me we’ll never get used to it.

Title: Why Body Swapping is a Stupid Idea that would Never Work
Rating: T
Characters: Crowley, Aziraphale, Gabriel

Summary: One day Gabriel gets the bright idea to swap bodies with Crowley. Except obviously that's a ridiculous idea that would never fool anyone. That's why Crowley is so calm about the whole thing.

Title: Sugar and Spice

Summary: This year's Bake Off is off to an interesting start. With a new co-host with the personality of a wet sponge, two of the youngest contestants ever, and an unfairly attractive Star Baker, host Anthony Crowley has his hands full trying to keep things on track.

Rating: Explicit

Author’s Notes: Happy Holidays, lurlur! Thank you so much for such a wonderful prompt set. I had a lot of fun writing this, my very first explicit-rated fic. I loved the idea of seeing Crowley and Aziraphale involved in Bake Off, and it was such an entertaining story to write. I hope you enjoy it!

Title: A Magnifying Glass

Rated: Gen

Summary: Aziraphale and Crowley attend a new opera in 19th century Saint Petersburg. It happens to be the first time they’ve seen each other since their fight in 1862. And the play makes it even more awkward because the characters remind them of themselves.

Pairing: Aziraphale & Crowley

Canon: TV

A/N: The title is a reference to the words of the poet Vladimir Mayakovsky: “Theatre is not a mirror; it’s a magnifying glass.”

Happy Holidays, dear Kingstoken! I chose your second prompt, but I combined it a bit with the first one. I hope you’ll like it.

A huge thank you to my wonderful beta!

Title: Sailor’s Omens
Rating: General
Summary:
Aziraphale shot him a glare, and slowly began to scrabble across the rigging in what must have been the most undignified way it was humanly possible to do so.
“So sorry,” he gritted out, “it is my first time being kidnapped, you see, my sincerest apologies if I’m not living up to your standards—”
Crowley shot a panicked glance back at the fighting behind him.
“Look, would you just climb the blasted ropes, all right, before someone decides this coat would look nicer with a few bullet holes through it?”

Kidnapping Aziraphale, the stuffy younger brother of a renowned merchant, may not turn out to be quite the stroke of piratical genius that Crowley had anticipated.

summary: “It was a nice night, crickets singing beyond the car park. No one was outside but for him, and there was something strangely, absurdly lonely about it. Like he was the last living creature in the entire world. In a way, it had always been a story about this: Crowley, alone. Time was not linear, and so in the end, this was the way things would begin and end and stay. And there, surrounded by the welcoming dark and the unbearable weight of the night sky, he let himself think it:

Something is coming.

(or: they go on a road trip and things do not go as planned.)

  1. additional note one: i am so sorry @/niaocat, you probably wanted something nice with a small dose of angst, and instead you got this borderline-horror story :’). that being said! i feed off of the tears of the innocent. bear that in mind.
  2. additional note two: this is a fusion of both book and show canon, if that makes sense. the archangels are characters in this, but the character designs are what i imagined them to be as i read the novel. if you want a visual of this, i strongly recommend you look at this absolutely gorgeous art by @/niqx on tumblr that pretty much summarizes my designs: https://niqx.tumblr.com/post/179465876482/good-omens-took-over-my-life-yall.
  3. additional note three: my title comes from anne sexton’s wonderful poem, “the kiss”, which I highly recommend you read.
  4. additional note four: because I’m just that Extra™, i made a fucking playlist for this bad boy. here’s the link, hit it up, it’s what the kids like to call ‘fire’: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1n4nwvAFgaXwHBk67c7qUw?si=ATmXCqsTQMWjnaFHoLO4SQ. and now, without further ado: the content you signed up for. enjoy!

For beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror—which we still are just able to endure—and we are so awed because it serenely disdains to annihilate us. Every angel is terrifying. And so I hold myself back and swallow the call-note of my dark sobbing.

PAIRING/PLOT BUNNY/RATING CHOICE THREE: Slow Dancing preferably Ineffable Husbands, could be other pairing, what about jazz era somewhere else (not England, not USA)
Summary: Good Omens and Pacific Rim clash when strange beings called Kaiju show up on Earth directed by the Precursors, one of God’s original creations that They discarded, or attempted to at any rate. Now, humanity has built giant robots called Jaegers to fight these monsters, a fight which Heaven and Hell has decided to join, along with the Antichrist and his posse. Things can’t get much worse.
